What is TEDxAmherstCollege?
TEDxAmherstCollege was established in 2013. We are a student-run organization that aims to share meaningful stories, promote intellectual discussions, and spark inspiration both within and beyond the Amherst community. Our events feature speakers with unique perspectives, sharing their knowledge and experience through engaging and thought-provoking talks. We also invite performers to show their thoughts on the theme through creative, artistic representations. Besides the main speech event, we host smaller discussions to bring together the community to share their ideas.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
