In their own words

Contract bridge, or just bridge, is one of the world’s most prominent card games using a standard 52-card deck; it’s a pretty big deal. Similar to Hearts or Spades, bridge is a trick-taking game that involves four players (two competing partnerships). The Amherst College Bridge Club seeks to bring this storied game to the Amherst community and spread the joy of playing bridge. We meet once a week, and regular attendance is recommended (especially for beginners), but not required. During our meetings, we host lessons from US Junior National Team members and 2x world champions—your fellow students—and open play sessions. Learn new skills from other members and practice with your friends! If you love strategy, puzzle solving, and intense competition, this is the game for you. We welcome players of all levels, regardless of prior knowledge. For more dedicated players, there will be opportunities to travel to National Collegiate tournaments and win scholarship money while teaming with America’s strongest college player. Meetings Sundays 4-6pm SCCE Cafe
