In their own words
Reproductive Justice (RJ) is a human rights framework that protects every reproducing body's right to have a child, right to not have a child, and right to raise that child in a healthy and safe environment. The SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective coined this term in 1994 in efforts to center people of color and communities who had been marginalized by mainstream feminist movements.
Amherst's Reproductive Justice Alliance organizes around these tenets both on the Amherst College campus and in the Pioneer Valley community. We host fundraisers, protests, speaker events, and meetings. We also create a yearly intersectional feminist zine. Everyone is welcome!
